Out of the Mouths of Babes

So a few months ago Gray had his tonsils/adenoids out. He lost 3-4 pounds after the surgery and anyone that knows him can understand why we were concerned...he can't afford to lose ANY weight! So at his check up his pediatrician was telling me to pretty much feed him whatever he will eat to help him gain the weight back and she suggested adding butter to anything that it would go on. So one night I was putting some butter on peice of bread for him and he wanted more, I ended up putting about 2 tbspn on his plate and he ate it ALL! The kid loves butter! So, that leads to my story...last night the boys were taking a bath and Gray starts singing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" and this is how it went...
"Row, Row, Row Your Boat
Gently down the stream,
Merily, Merily, Merily, Merily
Like a Butter Dream!"

Happy Fall!

I've been wanting some new fall placemats and napkins for the kitchen table ever since it started getting cooler...I finally found some that I liked so I wanted to share what I did...I usually dont decorate for seasons other than Christmas but for some reason I'm really in the mood this year. Thanks to Melissa for the pumpkins...the boys still think that these are toys for them to play with and I catch them trying to sneak off to the bedroom with them. This morning I finally had a chance to put the "napkin-scape" together, hopefully whatever was causing Jackson to be sick last night has passed and we will have a good day today. Harrison got a new carseat yesterday so we'll have to go for a ride today to check it out...Tara, this will look familiar to you! Have a great Saturday!

Fall Fun

So it's been a busy week. I had a birthday last week and we took a nice wagon ride around the neighborhood. The boys love taking walks or riding their bikes down the street. We went home for the weekend to see the family and got to go to Jacob's soccer game on Saturday morning. Jacob did a great job, it was fun to watch and the boys enjoyed it. Harrison had fun playing with a football and made a couple of attempts to run out onto the soccer field, everyone got a "kick" out of him. : o We had a fun weekend and enjoyed visiting with everyone. Jackson found a turtle in Aunt Jenny's backyard and was so proud of it. He's never held a turtle before so he was very excited...Gigi on the other hand does not care for turtles so she didn't really care for Jackson showing it to her and sitting it on her lap...o what fun! On Monday Jackson had his last soccer game of the season. They ended up letting the boys play 6 on 6 the last quarter rather than the normal 3 on 3...it was a bit of a mess, several pile ups and lots of tangled little legs. Looking forward to next season, maybe Gray will want to play then!

Catching up..

So the past few weeks have been pretty busy in the Bartlett house but since my camera was down no new posts. Fast forward to last weekend...camera fixed, two birthday parties; one swimming and one at Gymboree...lots of fun for the boys. Jackson had a party at the Jones Center in Springdale for his friend Carson...it was lots of fun and we got to swim after the party...the pool was really cool and even had a huge water slide that Jackson loved! Sunday we went to a party for the Twindalls...Molly and Taylor, my friend Melissa's twins. They turned 3 and celebrated with a party at our local Gymboree Play & Music. It was lots of fun for the whole family! Harrison is cutting about 4 more teeth so he's been a peach lately. Jackson and Gray are getting bigger every day...literally. Gray has gained weight since he started taking a new medication to stimulate his appetite, it's definately making a difference. Looking forward to spending the weekend in Russellville and seeing family & friends!
